Assessment

A psychoeducational assessment will focus on what your child CAN do and use their strengths to develop meaningful goals.

Assessments will vary based on specific referral concerns, but can include testing for autism, learning disabilities, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, processing deficits, and ADHD.

Every attempt will be made to make the process comfortable and natural for your child in an effort to get the best measure of their abilities.

Counseling

Counseling services can be provided for individuals or groups. Counseling techniques and expertise include the following areas:

Anxiety/Coping Skills training through CBI
Executive Function coaching
Self-regulation training
Social skills training for ASD

Studies have shown that generalization of skills is highest when skills are practiced in multiple settings.

Consultation

Consultation can include support in various ways for parents and school teams as they work with a child with a disability:

Help navigating systems of support
Attend IEP to help advocate for strength based goals & evidence based practices
Provide an Independent Educational Evaluation (IEE)
Provide referrals to other specialists (speech therapist, occupational therapist, behaviorist, neurologist, etc)

Professional Development

Trainings can include whole staff training, or more specific case consultation:

How to start or improve inclusive practices at your School
Specific consultation on how to effectively include a specific child
Review of evidence based practices for autism spectrum disorders
Review of evidence based practices for dyslexia & reading instruction
